Martin Justinek has 10+ years of international experience as a process and development engineer in the electronics industry.  Being a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, his core competences are in the fields of process and technology development, testing and measurement technique, process optimisation according to Six Sigma DMAIC, and quality assurance.

Martin Justinek has studied Technical Chemistry at University of Technology in Graz (AT), Université der Rennes (FR) and Oxford University (GB). In his PhD thesis in physical chemistry he investigates the influence of magnetic fields on chemical reactions using physico-chemical measurement methods and computer simulations.

He moves on to industry where he works as a process engineer at EPCOS (Styria, AT), developing manufacturing processes for electroceramic components. He continues his industry career at Philips Sound Solutions (Vienna, AT). For more than 10 years – the company's name has changed via NXP Semiconductors to Knowles Electronics – Martin is responsible for the development and the series introduction of new processes and technologies in the manufacturing of miniature loudspeakers.

Martin is a project leader for the development of new processes, technologies, materials and measurement techniques. He works in close cooperation with international customers, suppliers and research institutes. At the interface between product development and production he makes his contribution to product designs and automation solutions, keeping the focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Cost (DFC). The ramp-up of new machinery and processes at sites in Austria, China, Croatia and the Ukraine is also part of his responsibility. This includes the manufacturing release according to relevant QM systems like ISO 9001 or ISO/TS 16949.

As a keen statistician and Six Sigma Black Belt Martin leads numerous improvement projects resulting in cost savings in the double-digit percentage range. His passion for quality is reflected in countless FMEA moderations and trainings on the international level. Moreover, due to his broad scientific expertise he is a sought-after specialist in the solution of quality issues such as corrosion or material fatigue.

Knowledge transfer is important to Martin Justinek. Numerous in-house trainings, project coaching and the mentoring of diploma theses give proof of this fact.

Martin is a Six Sigma trainer and a network partner of Quality Austria.
